The opening expression of the Lord’s Prayer – Our Father in Heaven – introduces us to a supreme Father whose throne is in heaven and whose kingdom is yet to emerge. Is it any wonder, then, that this prayer breathes the spirit of respect, loyalty, and deference?

The question that most new believers or people outside the Christian faith ask is; was Jesus poor? It is a shame that the old church from the last few decades thought poverty as a form of humility and Godliness. If this was the case then majority of the 3rd world country experiencing extreme poverty are at a level of holy which we western believers can only aspire to. But this actually is far from the truth. The Lords Prayer was revealed to Jesus’ disciples in order for them to understand how Jesus’ prayers enabled him to operate in the level of anointing he did in his 3 years of ministry.
Why did Jesus Pray?
Jesus Christ is the son of God (God the Son….the 2nd head of the trinity), which begs the question of why did he need to pray.
